Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Performance Workshop bookings made with Stage-ed.
By confirming a booking, the school, academy, college, organisation or individual making the booking agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Definitions
“Stage-ed”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to Stage-ed.
“Client” refers to the school, academy, trust, college or organisation making the booking.
“Workshop” refers to any Stage-ed educational workshop, performance workshop, revision session or associated activity.
“Venue” refers to the location where the Workshop takes place.
2. Bookings
2.1 All Workshop bookings are subject to availability.
2.2 A booking is considered confirmed once:
written confirmation has been issued by Stage-ed; and/or
an agreed booking form or confirmation email has been received.
2.3 The individual making the booking confirms they are authorised to enter into agreements on behalf of the Client.
2.4 Stage-ed reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings where necessary.
3. Fees & Payment Terms
3.1 Fees will be agreed in writing prior to confirmation.
3.2 Invoices will normally be issued prior to or following the Workshop unless otherwise agreed.
3.3 Payment terms are 30 days from invoice date unless otherwise stated.
3.4 All fees quoted are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified.
3.5 Late payments may incur statutory interest and recovery costs in accordance with applicable UK legislation.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Client
4.1 All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
4.2 The following cancellation charges apply:
More than 30 days before the Workshop date:
No cancellation fee payable.
Between 15 and 30 days before the Workshop date:
50% of the agreed booking fee payable.
14 days or fewer before the Workshop date:
100% of the agreed booking fee payable.
4.3 Where possible, Stage-ed may attempt to accommodate requests to reschedule Workshops, however this cannot be guaranteed and remains subject to availability.
Cancellation by Stage-ed
4.4 In the unlikely event that Stage-ed must cancel due to circumstances beyond reasonable control including:
severe weather,
staff illness,
transport disruption,
venue issues,
government restrictions,
force majeure events,
Stage-ed will endeavour to:
rearrange the Workshop;
offer an alternative date;
or issue an appropriate refund where necessary.
4.5 Stage-ed shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from cancellation.
5. Venue & Workshop Requirements
The Client agrees to provide:
a suitable workshop space;
access to electrical power where required;
safe access to the Venue;
appropriate seating arrangements where necessary;
adequate supervision of students at all times.
5.2 The Venue must be accessible to Stage-ed no later than 30–60 minutes prior to the Workshop start time unless otherwise agreed.
5.3 Delays caused by the Client, including timetable overruns or late access, may result in shortened Workshop times where necessary.
6. Safeguarding & Supervision
6.1 Stage-ed takes safeguarding seriously and operates safeguarding procedures appropriate to its activities.
6.2 Relevant staff and practitioners hold enhanced DBS certification where appropriate.
6.3 School staff remain responsible for student supervision, safeguarding and behaviour at all times during Workshops.
6.4 Stage-ed staff are not responsible for supervising students outside the agreed Workshop activities.
7. Behaviour & Conduct
7.1 Students are expected to behave respectfully toward:
staff,
practitioners,
fellow students,
school property and facilities.
7.2 Stage-ed reserves the right to pause, suspend or terminate a Workshop where behaviour becomes unsafe, abusive or significantly disruptive.
7.3 No refunds shall be payable where Workshops are interrupted due to behaviour issues outside Stage-ed’s control.
8. Educational Outcomes
8.1 Stage-ed Workshops are designed to support learning, engagement and understanding of curriculum texts and performance practice.
8.2 While Workshops are delivered by experienced industry professionals, Stage-ed does not guarantee specific academic outcomes, examination grades or educational results.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 All Workshop materials, scripts, resources, exercises, branding and associated creative content remain the intellectual property of Stage-ed and/or relevant licensors.
9.2 Workshop content may not be:
reproduced,
recorded,
distributed,
commercially exploited,
without prior written permission from Stage-ed.
10. Liability
10.1 Stage-ed will take reasonable steps to provide a safe and professionally delivered Workshop.
10.2 Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for:
death or personal injury caused by negligence;
fraud;
or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under English law.
10.3 Subject to clause 10.2, Stage-ed’s total liability shall be limited to the total fees paid for the relevant booking.
10.4 Stage-ed accepts no responsibility for:
loss or damage to personal property;
technical issues caused by Venue facilities;
timetable disruptions outside its control.
11. Force Majeure
Stage-ed shall not be considered in breach of these Terms & Conditions where failure to perform obligations results from events beyond reasonable control including:
severe weather,
pandemics,
industrial disputes,
venue closures,
transport disruption,
government restrictions,
acts of God,
utility failures.
12. Data Protection
12.1 Personal information will be processed in accordance with Stage-ed’s Privacy Policy.
12.2 Relevant contact information may be used for:
booking administration;
invoicing;
operational communications;
relevant Stage-ed service updates.

13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
